Ferrari motorbike

Ferrari has built many exclusive products over the years but none are as rare as this - a one-off Ferrari-badged motorbike built as a tribute to Enzo.

For sale at an exclusive motorbike auction this weekend, it could be yours if you have a couple of hundred grand going spare.

The bike isn't officially a Ferrari product. It was built by MV Agusta specialist David Kay in 1995. However, it was approved by Enzo's son Pierro and is the reason it can wear those hallowed badges.

Under the blood-red bodywork sits a potent 900cc, four-cylinder engine, producing 105hp at 8,000rpm, a top speed of 165mph and 0-62mph time of three seconds.

Its British owner has displayed it as a piece of artwork in his home for the past 17 years but has now decided to sell it.

The bike's creator famously said of it: 'The noise is like a Messerschmitt chasing a Spitfire.'

It is for sale by auctioneers Bonhams on April 29, and is expected to fetch between €220,000 and €300,000.
